Welcome to our Autumn schedule of Drugs, Alcohol, Sexual Health and Personal Development Education Programmes. They will be held at The Glaxo Neurological Centre, Norton Street, Liverpool which is fully accessible to all. All programmes start at 09:30am prompt running until 4:00pm with 15 minute tea and coffee breaks (morning and afternoon). There is a half hour lunch break - refreshments and lunch are included in the price. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs when you book.

All of these programmes cost £85 (plus VAT) per person per programme

Discounts of 10% for 3 or more places on the same programme or if you attend 3 different programmes you can choose a 4th programme absolutely free. Remember that these programmes include a comprehensive training pack, refreshments and lunch.

Monday 25th September - Alcohol Awareness

We all think that we know alcohol - it's been part of our culture and society since the day that we were born and somebody went out to 'wet the baby's head' - but how much do we really know and understand? This programme takes a good look at 'the solution to, and cause of, all life's problems' as Homer Simpson says. People always say that if alcohol was discovered today it would immediately be made a Class A drug because of it's enormous potential to harm. We will look at the potential consequences, types of drinker, attitudes to alcohol and alcohol users, sensible drinking limits, treatments and more in this full day programme.

Tuesday 17th October - Blood Borne Viruses 2006

Thursday 23rd November - Motivational Interviewing

This brilliantly flexible and easy to use method helps your clients to resolve any dilemma. It's particularly useful when planning behaviour change with a client as it utilises the client's own motivations rather than imposing your own ideas (which may actually increase resistance).
