Aims The programme aims to increase and develop participant’s knowledge and understanding of the issues surrounding drug and alcohol use in the workplace. Emphasis is placed on the detrimental impact of drug and alcohol use on work based related performance and attendance. It also aims to raise awareness of work based drug and alcohol policies and intervention practices. This also includes managing drug issues at work and implementing support strategies.

This programme is aimed at anyone who is concerned in the supervision or management of a workforce or staff team. It is widespread in it's relevance and is not targetted at any particular industry or sector, looking at the impact of drug use on work related performance and safety The participants do not need any previous experience or knowledge about drug use as this is included in the aims and objectives for the programme.
