A Healthwise Training Services ProgrammeAims The programme aims to increase and develop participant’s knowledge and understanding of contraception issues, current methods available and information on the efficacy of methods. It also aims to highlight current contraceptive legislation, issues around confidentiality, religious and cultural beliefs and identify appropriate services available for young people.

This programme is aimed at anyone working with clients young or not so young where there is a need to understand more about methods of contraception, efficacy, cultural diversity etc. It is eminently suitable for school nurses, youth workers etc. It is also suitable for direct delivery to young people as it assumes no previous knowledge on the part of the participants. All participants completing this Healthwise Training Services programme will receive a certificate of attendance and a comprehensive portfolio of information for future reference in a binder.
